3M Crystalline is available in five shades, each with varying degrees of glare reduction, solar energy reduction and solar heat reduction. All Crystalline film guarantees 99.9% reduction of UV rays, which is equivalent to more than 1700 SPF of protection. Crystalline Automotive Window Films 40, (dark grey) has a TSER (total solar energy rejected) rate of 60%.This means that 60% of the heat hitting your window is rejected by the film, making your vehicle cooler and more comfortable. With 39% VLT (visible light transmitted, or total light passing through the film) and a glare reduction rate of 55%, it’s our darkest shade.
